In 2002, McCane appeared on the FOX series America's Most Wanted (hosted by John Walsh, Adam's father) and he revealed his abusive childhood and molestation. The group was noticed by one of the founders of the rap group N.W.A, Eazy-E, who modified the group's name to Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony. Bizzy Bone started in hip-hop as a founding member of the group Bone Enterpri$e, which was formed in 1992. During this period, he met Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, Wish Bone and Flesh-n-Bone. When he was 13, Bryon began living with his oldest sister at her home near Cleveland, Ohio. A babysitter saw his photo at the end of the made-for-TV film Adam about the producer and creator of America's Most Wanted, John Walsh's son's abduction, and called the police, resulting in his return to his family. In 1983, the "family" had been living on the Kaw Indian Reservation in Kaw, Oklahoma for about a year and a half. He was often beaten, tortured, and sexually assaulted. Bryon recalls that at first, he did not know he had been kidnapped and was made to believe that his mother and grandmother were dead.ĭuring the time he was abducted, he lived in many homes, apartments, cars, and motels, all in northern Oklahoma.
In 1980, 4-year-old Bryon and his two sisters were abducted by their mother’s boyfriend while their mother was at work and held captive for over 2 years. There's no love lost between Bone and Ruthless, and with Ruthless handling their history like this, it's easy to see why.Bryon Anthony McCane II was born in Columbus, Ohio to an interracial couple. Bone Thugs never rose above that brilliant album, as the numerous lesser tracks on Greatest Hits point out. 1 if you want a concise look at Bone, then pick up their E 1999 Eternal if you need more.
All the producer and engineer credits you'd ever want are included, but good luck figuring out which track was on what without jumping on the Internet. Kicking off with the short and dramatic "Carole of the Bones" is a clever move, but where are the liner notes, and who laid the tracks out in such a lame order? Too many hits upfront weaken disc two's punch and too often likeminded tracks are put right next to one another. The third time Cleveland's quick rapping Bone Thugs-N-Harmony get compiled by their former label Ruthless starts out clever, but the packaging, lack of input from the band, and too-long run time make it nothing to get excited about.
